The rising prevalence of epilepsy, cardiac disorders, Parkinson's disease along with a growing geriatric population is driving growth in the microelectronic medical implants market. Currently approximately 50 million people in the world have epilepsy, out of which over 40 million or 80% live in developing countries. In developing countries 80-90% of people with epilepsy do not receive appropriate treatment. In up to 70% of people with epilepsy, it responds to treatment. According to 2021 US data, most of the adult Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrests (OHCA) occur at a home or residence. It was estimated to be 73.4%.
Technological advancement in healthcare devices is notable, devices based on RF technology and neurostimulators are witnessing rapid growth globally. Also, increasing recognition and benefits of neurostimulation therapy are driving the markets growth further.
