Industrial Applications Of Robotics Installations In China, 2022

Food robotics deals with the production and distribution of machines used in the food and beverage industry to perform multiple activities like picking, packaging, and palletizing. Technological advancements, such as the integration of AI, are enhancing productivity in the sector.

Packed food includes dairy and bakery products, frozen products, processed ones, ready-to-eat meals, snacks, and other health products. The food and beverage sector is proliferating in urban areas due to the changing lifestyle, and they need to increase their production rate much higher than before. The New World Robotics report showed that robotic installation in China increased by 5% in 2022. The country saw 52% of all installations globally in 2022. Just a year prior, established economies in Europe saw significant growth in the sector. Robot installations in Europe were up 24% to 84,302 units in 2021.

Automating repetitive processes is a widely used alternative to boost production. Region wise, North America, particularly the United States, dominated the global food robotics market, while, Asia Pacific is anticipated to witness the fastest growth rate in the forecasted years owing to the growing installations of robotic systems across various industries.
